Renowned UK-based Ghanaian gospel artiste, Sonnie Badu, recently underwent major surgery after a domestic accident just days before his highly anticipated concert, ‘Sonnie Badu Live In Concert – Rhythms of Africa.’
Breaking the news on his Facebook page, the ‘Baba’ artiste shared images from his hospital stay and in crutches, assuring his fans that despite the unexpected setback, the show would go on. Badu expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and apologized to churches and media houses for any disappointment caused by his absence in recent engagements.
“Beloved, I wish to announce that I was involved in a domestic accident yesterday and had to undergo major surgery. By the grace of God, I am doing well and recuperating,” he assured his followers.
The gospel sensation did not let adversity dampen his spirits, boldly stating, “The devil really tried it, but we only win.” He went on to confirm that ‘Sonnie Badu Live In Concert – Rhythms of Africa’ is set to take place as scheduled at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 9, 2023.
