Rising Nigerian musician Boypee has refuted rumors that he, along with partners Brown Joel and Hyce, removed the music video for their smash song “Ogechi” remix featuring Davido due to the DMW boss’s greed.

Afrobeats musician Davido and his wife Chioma’s wedding song, “Ogechi Remix,” had its official music video taken down from YouTube due to copyright violations, according to DailyPost.

After the video was taken down from Davido’s record label’s YouTube page, @Johnnyescoba, an X user, posted a report attributed to Boypee, one of the owners of the version in which Davido appeared.

Boypee claimed that the reason for the removal of the video was that the DMW boss wanted to keep all of the royalties from the views. “‘We had to take down the Ogechi Remix video cuz Davido wanted to take all the royalties.’“ the user added.

In a recent interview, Boypee said. Boypee refuted the charges by quoting the message and asking, “You and who talk that one ? To what profit eh guy? Wetin you wan use my downfall do?”
