The 65-year-old American actor, who gained notoriety after the shooting death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the Rust set in October 2021, has been given a new “quality of life” as a result of the successful procedure.

Hilaria Baldwin, the actor’s wife, posted a picture of the couple from their hospital bed on Instagram.

She wrote:

“Alec got a new hip today… it was a long time necessary.

“We have been through so much together… as your partner and as you heal, I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life.”

She went on to thank the doctors and hospital staff for bringing her husband of 11 years “safely through this”.

Baldwin wrote “and you. ” as one of the commenters. “Thank you,” he said, complimenting his wife.

The health update follows the dismissal of all criminal charges against Baldwin related to the death of Ms. Hutchins.

It wasn’t until “new facts” that “demanded further investigation and forensic analysis” were made public that Santa Fe prosecutors decided to drop two involuntary manslaughter accusations.

Prosecutors declared in April that they were unable to continue the investigation, but the dismissal of the accusations did not “absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability.”

Later, when Rust filming resumed last month, Baldwin thanked his followers for their support.

He posted a picture of himself dressed up and commented, “I’m grateful for all of the support I have received here,” praising Montana, where they had been filming.

Days after the Rust reshoot was finished, Baldwin allegedly agreed to star in his next movie, which will explore what transpired when four students were shot and died in 1970 at Ohio University during a protest against the war in Vietnam.

According to reports, Baldwin will play Robert White, the president of Kent State, in the upcoming film Kent State.
