A heartbreaking video has surfaced, featuring 21-year-old Mia Shem, an Israeli woman abducted by Hamas during the Supernova festival in the Negev.

The video, released by Mia’s family, shows her carefree and dancing with friends at the festival just before the terrorist group descended upon the event, resulting in the massacre of at least 260 revelers and the abduction of scores on October 7.

Mia Shem’s family made an emotional appeal for her release after Hamas posted another video on Telegram, showcasing Mia being treated for an arm wound and pleading for freedom.

At a press conference in Tel Aviv, Mia’s mother, Keren Shem, expressed her anguish. “I screamed when I saw the video of Mia because I saw that she was alive, but when I watched it again, I saw that she was wounded,” Keren said, holding up a photo of her daughter. “I’m begging the world to bring my baby back home. She only went to a party to have some fun, and now she’s in Gaza.”

Keren passionately highlighted the gravity of the situation. “This is a crime against humanity, and we should all gather and stop this terror and bring everybody back home,” she pleaded. The distressing video of Mia Shem has become a focal point of international attention and has intensified calls for her release.

Israeli authorities have labeled the video as a form of psychological warfare employed by Hamas. An Israeli army spokesman stated, “With the goal of this war to dismantle Hamas, the hostages remain a key priority in balancing our efforts.” The United States, too, condemned the video as propaganda, emphasizing the urgency of bringing hostages back to their families.

In the 60-second clip, Mia, speaking in Hebrew, revealed that she had undergone a three-hour surgery in Gaza. “They are taking care of me, giving me medicine; everything is fine. I only ask that they bring me home as soon as possible to my parents and to my siblings,” she pleaded in the video. “Get me out of here as soon as possible. Please.”
