In a somber announcement, the Fountain of Life Church has confirmed the passing of its senior pastor, Taiwo Odukoya. The news was shared on the church’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, revealing that Pastor Odukoya had departed this world while in the United States of America (USA) on Monday.
“The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty, announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, our Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, founding pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA,” the church’s statement reads.
The church expressed their gratitude for the impactful leadership Pastor Odukoya provided: “We are in total submission to you LORD!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of a great leader!!!”
While the cause of his death remains undisclosed, Pastor Odukoya’s passing is a profound loss to his community. This sorrowful event comes less than two years after the tragic death of his 47-year-old South African wife, Nomthi Odukoya, on 9 November 2021. She had valiantly battled cancer for two years. The couple had been married for 11 years and were blessed with two children.
Pastor Odukoya’s journey through love and loss included the passing of his first wife, Bimbo, who tragically lost her life in the Sosoliso plane crash in 2005. His subsequent marriage to Nomthi was a testament to his resilience and capacity to find joy even in the face of adversity.
The entire community mourns the loss of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, remembering his legacy as a devoted spiritual leader and an inspiration to many.
