Cardi B denied speculations that she would be acting with Megan Thee Stallion in a B.A.P.S. remake, an American comedy movie.

The reports that the Bodak Yellowsongstress and her associate Megan Thee Stallion desire to play the lead characters in a contemporary remake of the 1997 film B.A.P.S. have been denied.

After B.A.P.S director Robert Townsend discussed the film’s remake in a recent interview with Slash Film, she responded.

“I’ve had people go, ‘Hey, we want to do a remake’,” he said. “Everybody from Megan Thee Stallion to Cardi B is like, ‘Could we do [the film?]’”.

The WAP rapper responded amusingly to a blogger named Ken Barbie on Twitter, quoting the blogger’s message and adding a clever aside.

“I don’t even know where that rumor even came about….” she said. “Maybe because we looked soo cute in the Wap video?… kiss kiss.”

Both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion wore haircuts from Townsend’s movie, from which he also made his directing debut, in a music video that became a huge smash of 2020.

Nisi and Mickey, who were originally played by Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle, were urged by several fans to take on the primary parts when the video was released.
