Iraqi Refugee Salwan Momika Sparks Outrage by Burning Quran Outside Stockholm Mosque

The video message shared by Momika prior to the incident revealed his determination to carry out the act, calling on his supporters in Stockholm to join him both financially and emotionally. “My demonstration will take place on the 1st day of Eid. My demonstration will be in front of the big mosque in Stockholm where I will burn the Quran… My loved ones, who are living in Stockholm, and would like to participate in the demonstrations, and contribute both financially and emotionally, my information is below,” he stated in the video.

The incident has sparked a heated debate regarding the limits of freedom of expression and the appropriate response to such provocative acts.
