Jungkook, a prominent member of the K-pop boyband BTS, is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of his debut solo album.
According to a recent report by South Korean news outlet Sports Chosun, Jungkook is scheduled to unveil his long-awaited solo album on July 14. Responding to the report, his agency, Big Hit Music, has provided a statement regarding the matter.
Big Hit Music confirmed Jungkook’s plans for his solo album in a statement to Star News. However, they mentioned that the specific release schedule has yet to be finalized.
“We will announce the confirmed release schedule for Jungkook’s solo album,” stated Big Hit Music to the news outlet, as translated by Soompi.
This forthcoming album marks Jungkook’s official solo debut, although he has previously released several solo tracks throughout the years. Notable examples include ‘Dreamers,’ which was featured during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, ‘My You,’ a special release for BTS’ 2022 Festa celebrations, and ‘Stay Alive,’ part of the 7Fates: CHAKHO soundtrack.
In recent news, BTS delighted fans with the release of their latest song, ‘The Planet,’ featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming South Korean animated series Bastions. This track is a collaborative effort by all seven members and serves as their first full-group release since ‘Yet To Come’ in June 2022.
Meanwhile, Jungkook has been appointed as the new global ambassador for renowned fashion brand Calvin Klein. He has even graced a campaign for the brand’s Spring 2023 collection, joining the ranks of other notable celebrities like BLACKPINK’s Jennie, FKA Twigs, Kendall Jenner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Michael B. Jordan, who have also been featured in Calvin Klein’s recent campaigns.
