Michael Bublé Surprises Fans by Joining Foo Fighters Onstage at Outside Lands Music Festival

In an unexpected turn of events at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, Michael Bublé and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters took their tour gag to new heights. The Foo Fighters, known for their playful antics on stage, have been inviting fans to sing along to various songs, including Michael Bublé’s hit “Haven’t Met You Yet,” performed by their touring drummer Josh Freese during his session days.

During their headline performance, Grohl challenged the audience to identify the true “superfan” who could sing the Bublé song. Pointing out an enthusiastic fan with an “I heart Bublé” sign, Grohl invited him onto the stage. Much to everyone’s surprise, that “superfan” was none other than Michael Bublé himself!

As Bublé confidently belted out the song, the crowd joined in on the chorus, creating an unforgettable moment. Grohl later praised Bublé for taking the joke to the next level, revealing that the crooner had flown in from Argentina just to participate.

After the set, Bublé shared a playful video of himself, joking that he had finally been invited to join the Foo Fighters. Grohl’s humorous response added to the lighthearted exchange between the artists.

The Foo Fighters, who have been touring since May 24, continue to make headlines for their energetic performances and surprise collaborations. This tour comes after the passing of their drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The addition of Josh Freese to the lineup and their participation in various festivals, including Boston Calling and Austin City Limits, have solidified their status as rock legends.

The unexpected collaboration between Michael Bublé and the Foo Fighters at Outside Lands showcased the camaraderie and spontaneity that define live music performances. Fans and attendees left the festival with a memorable experience and a newfound appreciation for the art of musical surprises.
