Nepali Film Actor Saruk Tamrakar Found Dead at His Residence in Ratopul

KATHMANDU, July 7: In a shocking turn of events, renowned Nepali film actor Saruk Tamrakar was discovered dead at his residence in Ratopul, Kathmandu.

The 31-year-old actor was found hanging in his room on Thursday evening, according to SP Sitaram Rijal at the Kathmandu Police Range.

Authorities were alerted to the incident around 11 pm when Tamrakar’s lifeless body was found suspended from a plastic pipe on the staircase railing within his house. Promptly responding to the scene, law enforcement agencies initiated an investigation into the tragic incident. The body was subsequently transferred to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

While the motive behind Tamrakar’s suicide remains undisclosed, SP Rijal confirmed that investigations are underway to unravel the circumstances leading up to this unfortunate event. Saruk Tamrakar made his entry into the Nepali film industry with his debut movie, ‘Rani,’ and gained recognition for his notable appearances in films such as ‘Meri Mamu’ and ‘Intu Mintu London.’ Recently, he had been actively involved in the shooting of the film ‘Hashtag Maya,’ which is approximately 45 percent complete.
