In a forthcoming memoir, Paris Hilton candidly opens up about the circumstances surrounding her infamous sex tape, disclosing that she was pressured into making it by her then-boyfriend, Rick Salomon. The short clip, which was recorded when Hilton was 19 and Salomon was 31, was leaked online in 2004, causing significant public attention.
According to excerpts from the memoir published in the Sunday Times, Paris Hilton recalls feeling uncomfortable and uneasy about the idea of making the video sex tape, as it was something Salomon had allegedly done with other women. She admitted that she felt unable to trust him enough for such an intimate act but eventually gave in to his persistent pressure, believing that it would remain private.
To cope with her nerves, Hilton resorted to excessive drinking and also mentioned the use of Quaaludes. After the leak, she pleaded with Salomon not to release the full version, but he justified his actions, claiming it was his property and held financial value. Hilton expressed that she felt distressed by the situation and that she was essentially playing a character on her reality show, “The Simple Life,” as a response to the trauma caused by the incident.
Hilton’s revelations shed light on the emotional toll the sex tape scandal took on her life, and her forthcoming memoir, “Paris: The Memoir,” aims to provide a deeper understanding of her experiences during that tumultuous time.
