Paula Badosa, the Spanish tennis star who is currently ranked number 4 in the world, has revealed that she had a “romantic dream” about her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Badosa made the revelation during a press conference ahead of her second-round match at Wimbledon. She said that she had the dream after watching Tsitsipas play in the Australian Open final earlier this year.
“I was injured in Australia, so I was watching his match,” Badosa said. “I had jet lag, so I was really tired, but I ended up having a dream about him.
“In the dream, we were both winning the Australian Open, and then we had a very romantic moment. But I’m not going to explain any more than that!”
Badosa’s revelation sparked a bit of laughter among the press, but she seemed to be amused by it herself. She said that she had never had a dream about a tennis player before, but that she was “very happy” with her relationship with Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas, who is currently ranked number 5 in the world, has also spoken about his relationship with Badosa. He said that he feels “happy and content” with her, and that he has never felt a connection with anyone like the one he has with her.
“I get to do what I love and I get to do it with someone who completely understands me and gets it,” Tsitsipas said. “I have been very interested in her mind more than anything else.
“Of course there is attraction, but it’s also sometimes just a soul interaction and getting to fall in love with her mind. It’s very rare that these things happen.”
Badosa and Tsitsipas are currently teaming up in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon. They will face Rinky Hijikata and Ellen Perez in the second round on Wednesday.
