On Friday, May 26, she digitally uploaded “You’re Losing Me” on her website, and her followers went crazy, delving into her lyrics for hints about their breakup.

Taylor contemplates ending her 6-year relationship with Joe in the song, wondering, “Do I throw out everything we built or keep it?” Taylor continues, “My heart won’t start anymore for you ’cause you’re losing me.”

She also refers at the end of their relationship, saying, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone,” a famous line from Joni Mitchell, albeit concerning a parking lot.

Taylor’s admirers focused their attention on lyrics implying Joe rejected the idea of marrying the singer. She sings, “I’m the best thing at this party/And I wouldn’t marry me either/A pathological people pleaser/Who only wanted you to see her.”

Taylor Swift is over her breakup with singer Matt Healy. Joe, like Taylor, has yet to make a formal statement about their breakup.
