Young Woman, Hope Zorben Samuel Allegedly Assaulted After Rejecting Advances in Rivers State

In Deeyor community, Gokana LGA, Rivers State, a young woman named Hope Zorben Samuel has reported being assaulted and injured by a man named Mr. Sunny Bekee. The alleged reason behind this attack was Hope’s refusal to entertain Mr. Bekee’s advances in a romantic relationship.

Hope Zorben Samuel recounted that this ordeal began when she first encountered Mr. Bekee in a public vehicle some time ago. Since that chance meeting, he had persistently attempted to obtain her phone number, which she repeatedly declined to provide.

However, the situation took a frightening turn when Mr. Bekee visited Hope’s shop one day, where he reportedly physically assaulted her, causing injuries. He also allegedly made threats against her life.

Hope Zorben Samuel, in response to the incident, pleaded for assistance from local authorities, saying, “Earlier today, he came to my shop in Biara and got me injured and went away still. He’s making threats of taking my life. I am calling on the Gokana LGA Boss, JTF Commander, DPO, Paramount Ruler of Biara, and other security agencies to call Mr. Sunny Bekee to order.”

As of now, the police authorities in Gokana have not yet confirmed the incident, as they could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report. The community and concerned citizens await further developments in this troubling case.
