Businessman Accuses Davido of Betrayal in Alleged N218 Million Scam

A businessman named Abusalami has accused prominent Nigerian singer Davido of betrayal and financial misconduct.

According to Abusalami’s Instagram post, he claims to have paid Davido a staggering sum of N218 million to influence a project for kids, only for the singer to allegedly run away with the money.

Abusalami, who goes by the name on Instagram, expressed his disappointment and frustration in a lengthy post where he detailed the alleged scam. He stated that he had entered into an agreement with Davido, where he paid him a significant portion of a N326 million project. The project aimed to discover young, talented footballers across 20 different states in Nigeria. Abusalami further claimed that he had to cancel various events, incurring additional costs amounting to 42 million naira, due to Davido’s sudden cancellations and lack of cooperation.

In the Instagram post, Abusalami revealed that he had begged Davido to fulfill his part of the agreement, even offering to shoot the commercial in a garden instead of a stadium. Despite these efforts, Abusalami alleges that Davido refused to cooperate and even went as far as allegedly bullying him through lawyers and associates.

The businessman shared screenshots of his alleged conversations with Davido, attempting to provide evidence for his claims. He expressed his frustration at Davido’s alleged actions, stating that the singer’s behavior had pushed him into a deep financial crisis, leaving him with significant debts.

In his post, Abusalami called out Davido for his alleged theft and urged him to do the right thing. He accused the singer of sabotaging his business and leaving him in a dire situation. Abusalami’s post has sparked outrage and concern among fans and followers, with many expressing their support for the businessman and demanding accountability from Davido.

As of now, Davido has not publicly responded to these allegations. The controversy surrounding this incident continues to unfold, raising questions about transparency and accountability within the entertainment industry.
