Tobi Amusan, a world record holder who ran the 100-meter hurdles in 12.34 seconds to win the Silesia Diamond League competition.

After Amusan overtook her in a tight battle to the finish line, American Kendra Harrison finished in a close second place.

Nia Ali, the recently minted US champion, placed third in 12.38 seconds, while Megan Tapper, the Jamaican champion, finished fourth, ahead of Danielle Williams, a fellow countrywoman, in fifth.

The legendary sprinter from Nigeria ran the quickest time of the year, matching the personal record of Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

With the new mark, she moves into first place in the Diamond League rankings, seven points ahead of Camacho-Quinn, who for the first time this season did not compete in a Diamond League event.

Remember that Amusan just won the Diamond League competition in Stockholm, making her triumph in Silesia her second straight win in the league this year as she works toward a third successful title defense.
